Many people go through different best friends throughout their lifetime. However, a person usually only has one truly true best friend in all of their life. A best friend is the first person you think about when making plans. “You’re not going? Neither am I.” A best friend is the first person you call whether you have super exciting news or something tragic has occurred. A best friend is someone who you trust with all your heart. You can tell them anything and everything without having to do a ‘pinky promise’ not to tell a soul. You trust them THAT much. A best friend is someone who you argue with because you are open with your opinions. You may go days without talking, but you’re miserable all the while. A best friend is someone who is honest, sometimes brutal if necessary. They’ll tell you how they feel no matter what. It’s a person who is open 100% with their feelings and doesn’t feel scared or nervous to admit things to you. A best friend is the one person you tell all your deepest darkest secrets. They don’t judge you for one second. A best friend is your best secret keeper. They’re a part of your family. They walk into your house like they own the place and go straight to the fridge (sorry it’s usually empty) Everyone loves them. Your parents think of them as their own. They do things for you that you don’t even like doing for yourself. They’re always there..no matter what time it is. Night or day, phone is on and ready to be answered. It never takes more than 2 rings. They always have your back..they’ve always got you covered. They won’t let you go hungry even when you’re bank account is negative. This is the one person in your whole life who you love with all your heart. You’d do anything for them because you know they’d do the same. In my life, I’ve had a lot of people who I have considered my ‘best’ friend. You have elementary best friends, then high school best friends, college best friends, work best friends, soccer team best friends, band best friends, etc. You have a group of girls who you consider your ‘best friends’ or maybe your cousin is your best friend. I have a steady group of people who I would consider my best friends. I introduce them as my ‘best friend’, my family refers to them as my ‘best friends’, they’re a group labeled ‘best friends’ in my phones’ favorites menu, but there is one who slightly stands out among the rest. You were not given to me, we were not born best friends..I was lucky enough to have met you and I chose you as my best friend. You are amazing among other things, and I love you with all of my heart. I do what I can to show you how much I appreciate everything you do, even the simple act of just being there.. I just wanted to express how much I care about you and truly value our friendship, but I know you already know that.
